Himachal Pradesh is a state in india. It is situated in north india. It is bordered by jammu and kashmir on the north , Punjab on the west , Haryana on the southwest , Uttrakhand on southeast and tibet autonomous region on the east. It also touches the state Uttar pradesh.
The name of this state was based on the sanskrit word "Him" means snow and "achal" means land by "Acharya Diwakar Datt Sharma" who is one of the state's famous sanskrit scholar.
It is very famous for beautiful valleys and mountains in india. Its total area is 55673 square kilometers.
Is has total 12 districs. Its capital is shimla.
Here mostly people speaks hindi language .
Its is known as "The Land of Gods" .
There are many historical temples.
