Mandi is situated in the Indian state Himachal Pradesh. It is known as Varanasi of Hills. This place is situated on the banks of the river Beas in Himachal Pradesh. This historic town was formerly known as Mandav Nagar, which was based on the name of the great sage Mandav.

It is very popular for visitors to come here in the sanctuary where many animals like Musk deer, Himalayan black bears, cat, leopard and Himalayan palm are found.
